Walking in a Winter Wonderland

The Snow Day!

Let's be honest. For a kid, is there really anything better than school being cancelled due to snow?? I seriously doubt it. And, oh, my! The kids have been living it up! We now have a well-worn icy patch the width of the inflatable snow toy, a.k.a. 'Greased Lightening, or 'Snow Bomb,' down the front of our yard. The kids (mine and a few neighbor children combined) have slicked this section of yard down to the place where they can catapult themselves onto the snow board, leaping upon it and sliding right out into the street!!! (Don't fret, Grandma - they ARE watching for cars, which are few and far between today.)

This is what winter is supposed to be like - fun, not just frigid. What a blessing!
